Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
An Technology Integration Project using Project Based Learning

Purpose
The purpose of this project based learning capstone project is to allow students to showcase their financial literacy skills as a result of the course through using the latest Web 2.0 Technological innovations.
Project Overview
Who Wants to be a Millionaire(WWBAM) is a week long module for high School students enrolled in Math Models 1232. Students will be challenged with spending a hypothetical million dollars. They are required to buy a house, vehicle, and fund their college education. Students research the required purchases, along with other luxury items, until they've spent the allotted amount of money.
Instructional Objective
This objective of the activity is to enables students to understand the value of money, place value to a million, and addition and subtraction of large numbers. During this project they will be able to meet a financial expert and attorney to discuss investments. It will also allow students to use the latest web 2.0 tools such as G-Suite blogs and presentation platforms which will hone on their communication and presentation skills when producing the project.

Google Docs: Student will use the Google Docs to create an letter to the respective donor to show them their interest and how they money will help them, they will also be tasked with completing a planning sheet as they purchase items.

Google Sheets: Student will use Google Sheets to complete their expense report.

Google Slides: Student will use Google Slides to prepare a ten minute presentation that provides insight on how they tend to spend to money and will show to their peers and a visitor. They will provide the link to their peers and instructors to view the assignment once complete.
Wix

Wix: Students will document their progress from the planning stage to presentation by creating and Wix blox. The task is to provide an post daily on how the project is going or include thing on how the purchase is going.. The blog should contain at least four blogs post and about you section.

Twitter: Students will create and Twitter Social Media account and post a tweet daily on their project experience using the hashtag WWBAM.
Instructional Design Methods
Gagne's 9 Events of Instruction will be used when designing the project and lesson plan. This assignments gains the attention of the students through a catchy title and purpose. The objective of the project is clearly provided to the leaners. The content is presented and the lesson provide the learners with guidance's through a blog and demonstrations. Feedback is expected to be provided from the instructor and guest well as a evaluation rubric. In addition the purpose is assess performance and enhance retention to transfer to the job.
